True Celadon is a delicate light green glaze that reproduces the effects of traditional Asian celadons. This glaze looks striking over any textured ware and has great color response when layered with our other Potter's Choice glazes.

Due to the powdered nature of the materials involved with the dry-mix dipping buckets of this product, their respective health information and labels differ from the brushing glazes.

Layering Top Coat

Here are some examples of PC-40 over other Potter's Choice glazes (2/2 Coats fired to cone 6 on AMACO #46 Buff Stoneware)



Layering Base Coat

There are many Potter's Choice glaze colors providing a huge number of possible glaze layering combinations. Experiment with combinations of glazes, different numbers of coats of each glaze, (up to a total of three to four coats) and ways to layer the glazes on your clay pieces. 

The samples shown below are 2 coats over 2 coats fired to Cone 6 on AMACO's #46 Buff Stoneware.

Layering with Celadons

The Potter's Choice glazes produce unique and beautiful effects when layered with the celadon glazes and fired to cone 5/6. Be sure to use three coats of each glaze and let each coat dry completely between applications.These tiles have been fired to cone 6 on AMACO #11 A-mix.



Layering with Shinos
