This thermocouple protection tube is used to cover a type-K thermocouple inside a gas kiln to protect the thermocouple from the oxygen deprived atmosphere that would very quickly corrode and destroy the thermocouple's metal tip. The high alumina tube length is 12 inches to easily get through a 9 inch double brick wall. Designed for high temperature applications up to 2700F.
