Can Frozen Clay be Thawed and Used?

As the water in your clay freezes it will separate from the clay particles and expand, pushing the clay particles apart. If your clay freezes, during shipping or be other means, thaw it slowly. You will find once it thaws that the outer edges of the clay will be very loose and sloppy and the interior dry and hard. Some clays will freeze and thaw better than others, composition of the clay body will determine the amount of work necessary to revive it.
