Ancient Jasper is a fluid, opaque glaze that transitions from soft black to olive green to rust red as it is applied thicker. This glaze has an active, varied surface by itself and layers with our other Potter's Choice glazes with striking results.

   

Layering Top Coat

Layering with Celadons

The Potter's Choice glazes produce unique and beautiful effects when layered with the celadon glazes and fired to cone 5/6. Be sure to use three coats of each glaze and let each coat dry completely between applications. These tiles were fired to cone 6 six on AMACO's #11 A-mix
