These kiln shelves are manufactured of a high alumina mullite/cordierite mixture that yields a smooth, durable surface with good thermal shock resistance for stacking ware in your kiln. They are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Manufactured by Trend Industrial Ceramics and recommended for all temperatures up to cone 11.
All shelves are subject to warpage at high temperatures. It is a good practice to occasionally flip the shelf in an effort to keep it straight.
12 inch diameter shelves are recommended for 7 sided 14" diameter chambers
15.5 inch diameter shelves are recommended for 8 sided 18" diameter chambers
21 inch diameter shelves are recommended for 10 sided 23" diameter chambers
