Borax, Granular
Borax is a compound made of the elements boron and sodium. It is a white, water-soluble, granular compound that acts as both a glass former and a low temperature flux. In ceramics, borax has been shown to improve the fit of glaze on greenware and bisque. Additionally, when mixed with oxides, borax produces bright colors.
