Made from the the below mentioned recipe. Fire to cone 06 thru 04.

This is the classic white ball clay talc casting recipe that has been used for slip casting in the ceramics industry for many years.

The ball clay found in this recipe imparts great dry strength for handling and the talc gives good casting, drying and glaze fit properties. Even a beginner can cast it successfully and very difficult shapes can be made because of its high wet and drying strength. It has both a fast casting rate and good strength and also has an amazingly white fired fired finish.

Mixing this KT1-4 Ball Clay along with the additional ingredients shown in the recipe show below will yield an excellent low fire casting body.

2 Bag Low Fire Earthenware Casting Body
1 bag (22.68 kg) KT1-4 Ball Clay
1 bag (22.68 kg) Am-Tal C-98 Talc
30 grams Soda Ash
30 Barium Carbonate (optional) use if you are mixing with hard water
4 fl oz Sodium Silicate
20 liters of water
